Police have found and arrested the man wanted for a shooting in Newfield back in April. 35-year-old Donnell Harrison was wanted by police after he was accused of shooting 26-year-old Cory Heffron and 27-year-old Matthew Dewey, both of Newfield, at a trailer park on April 30th. Both men sustained minor injuries from the incident. Harrison was found in the New York City area, where police have suspected him to be for some time now. The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office had assistance from multiple departments in locating Harrison, including New York State Police, New York City Police, and the U.S. Marshals. Harrison is being charged with two counts of first-degree assault. He was arraigned in the Town of Enfield Court and sent to the Tompkins County Jail.
