NYSEG says all customers in the Southern Tier will have their power restored by 1pm today after Monday’s damaging thunderstorms. More than 60,000 customers lost power in our region after the storms rolled through, but 57,000 of those had their services restored by last night. NYSEG says the other 3,000 will see their power restored at some point today. For the future, NYSEG encourages customers to sign up for Outage Alerts to receive updates when power goes out at your home, and the status of when it will be restored. You can sign up for the alerts on the NYSEG website.
