A Pennsylvania State Constable is facing charges in Bradford County after an apparent case of road rage. Terrance Blacknell, the state constable assigned to Bradford, was arrested after an incident around 9:30pm Saturday in Sayre. Borough Police were called to the Dandy on Spring Street for reports of Blacknell yelling at an unknown male in the parking lot. When they arrived, Constable Blacknell had his hand on his service weapon and refused to calm down. He was in his uniform at the time. Witnesses say Blacknell was involved in a fender-bender near the gas station before the argument. He was taken into custody and charged with intimidation, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, reckless driving, and passing in the left lane at an unsafe time. He was sent to the Bradford County Jail and released after posting bail. He will be back in court next week. Pennsylvania appoints constables for each county. They are separate from police agencies, and charged with protecting the polls, working the courts, and helping keep the peace, according to a state website.
