A drunk driver is facing charges after another driver was killed in a head-on crash. 69-year-old Richard Leighton, of Monroeton, was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol on March 13th when he collided with 64-year-old Rosemary Manuel of Dushore, killing her. Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda say that Leighton was traveling north on State Route 220 when he crossed into the southbound lane and struck Manuel head-on. Manuel died from her injuries. Leighton is now being charged with homicide by motor vehicle while driving under the influence, careless driving, reckless driving, not wearing a seatbelt, along with other violations.
