Congressman Tom Reed has just announced a special spending initiative aimed at ending veteran homelessness. According to Reed, $5 Million will be distributed to non-profit organizations across Western New York and the Southern Tier, to help keep our veterans off of the street. Reed said in his press release that, quote “Our veterans and their families have sacrificed so much for us and our nation, the least we can do is make sure they aren’t living on the streets.” For more information on programs that help veterans, you can contact congressman Reed’s office in Corning at (607) 564-7566.
