Congressman Tom Reed has unveiled a new proposal that might make higher education more affordable for some middle and working class families. In his proposal, Reed suggests that any college receiving an endowment of $1 Billion or more, use a portion of that money for scholarships for students. Also, the proposal would require any college participating in the federal aid program to disclose the salary of any employee earning $200,000 or more for greater transparency.
