The Sayre Historical Society experienced success with its first Celebration at the Station fundraiser on Wednesday. Local food vendors, wineries, and breweries gave samplings to Wednesday’s attendees, which totaled well over 75 people between presale tickets and tickets sold at the door. Organizers say the purpose of the fundraiser was to raise money to help the museum continue its mission of preserving the history of Sayre. Those at the Celebration at the Station were able to browse the museum, which has experienced renovations in recent years.
