Over 340 pounds of medications were dropped off at Wednesday’s “Shed the Meds” event in Endicott. The event was put on by Senator Fred Akshar, the Endicott Police Department, and Endicott Fire Department. Organizers say that over 250 people dropped medications off at the event earlier this week. 300 bottles of Narcotics, 5 fentanayl patches, and a bottle of morphine were among some of the medications collected. In addition, 49 people received free Narcan training.
