A Pennsylvania State Trooper who survived Eric Frein’s alleged deadly ambush attack outside his barracks back in September will be home for the holidays. Trooper Alex Douglass left a rehabilitation center to spend Christmas with family in Lackawanna County. Douglass posted a message and picture using his brothers Facebook saying “Thank you all so much for your love and support. I have seen all your posts and truly appreciate how many of you care about me. Happy Holidays!” Frein is accused of shooting Douglass in the pelvis and fatally shooting Corporal Bryon Dickson outside the Blooming Grove barracks on September 12th. Frein’s preliminary hearing is set for January 5th.
