State Police are investigating a homicide that left two dead in Tioga County in Pennsylvania. Police say an officer shot and killed 51-year-old Barry Mead of Westfield, after he shot and killed 34-year-old Vicki Copp of Westfield on Friday night. According to authorities, Mead and Copp were at one time romantically involved. Police say Mead forced his way into Copp’s Westfield apartment, when one of her neighbors called 911. After a struggle, Mead went into the bedroom, found and loaded a shotgun, and as Copp attempted to escape the apartment, he shot her. An officer from the Westfield Borough was already outside the apartment when the shooting took place. The officer entered the home and Mead fired the weapon again, the officer told him multiple times to drop the weapon. When he didn’t, the officer fired and killed Mead. The entire incident is still under investigation.
