Pennsylvania representative Tina Pickett is reminding local residents that her satellite office in Sayre will be hosting free veterans assistance hours starting later this month. The American Legion Service Officer Outreach Program will be providing the assistance at Pickett’s office from 10 to 2 on the third Thursday of each month, beginning May 15th. The program can help with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, and health care issues, all as they pertain to veterans. Veterans need not be members of the American Legion to receive the benefits. Appointments can be made at the Sayre office by calling 570-888-9011.
