An estimated 200 volunteers took to the banks of the Susquehanna River over the weekend to clean up litter and other debris. The effort was organized by the Broome County Environmental Management Council. This is the 30th year for the mass cleanup efforts. Communities downstream from Broome County also benefit, as volunteers are picking up trash that could potentially flow further down the river.
