There is a wind chill warning in effect in our area until Saturday morning. The winter storm warning has been canceled. The National Weather Service says that wind chills of 25 to 35 degrees below zero could be in effect, with winds from 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour. The wind will also cause blowing snow today, make visibility poor at times. If you must go outside today be sure to wear several layers of clothing, including a hat, as body heat is lost through the head more than any other part of the body. It’s also important to cover all exposed flesh to help protect yourself from frostbite.
