A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1pm today. A mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will continue through this morning with wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. The mixture is expected to change to all rain in the afternoon before moving out of the area.

Close to 2,000 customers lost power this morning after a power line fell on top of a house on Farm to Market Road in Maine. Around 5am, the East Maine Fire Company was called to a small fire on the roof of a garage at the home. No one was injured and the fire was out quickly. The incident caused a power outage to 1,700 customers in Broome County and close to 300 in Tioga County. There are other reports of power lines down around the Southern Tier due to the heavy, wet snow and wind.
