A medical records database has just expanded, to allow access to medical records in every county in New York State. HealthLinkNY has been around for years, but has remained mostly local in its sharing of medical records online. After months of development and testing, however, the database organization says its ready to expand its services statewide. A patient must first consent to have their medical records stored on the database site. If they choose to do so though, doctor’s all across HealthLinkNY’s network are able to access the records, eliminating the delay in paper records transfer.
