A missing Cortland woman, has been found in Nevada. 25-year-old Mary Helms Bartholomew met 23-year-old Jon Wesley Turner, of Elmira online. The pair spent about two weeks in Las Vegas, then got into a fight at a motel in Beatty, Nevada. Turner is alleged to have beaten, choked, and assaulted Bartholomew with a hatchet. Bartholomew escaped and got help. Turner was arrested shortly thereafter. The investigation is continuing.
