Nine residents from across the Southern Tier have been given the opportunity to see Pope Francis as he visits the nation’s capitol. The local residents are among 100 New Yorkers randomly selected to see the pope through a lottery held by Senator Schumer’s office. Following his visit to the capitol tomorrow, Pope Francis will be heading to New York City on Friday to hold a mass at Madison Square Garden.
