The cause of a train derailment in Marathon yesterday morning that resulted in no injures is under investigation. Witnesses said it happened on Main Street near the Marathon Train Depot . Susquehanna and Western Railway owns that section of track. Eight out of the possible 100 cars the train was pulling became derailed with two being overturned. One of the cars derailed was a diesel car, but was not carrying any diesel fuel at the time of the derailment. No contamination was reported. State police said crews are still working to clean up the scene.
