The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Southern Tier from 7pm tonight to 1pm tomorrow. The weather service says sustained winds of between 15 and 30 miles per hour will contain gusts of 40 to 50 miles per hour tonight and tomorrow morning. It is expected to arrive as part of a cold front. Those winds will blow unsecured objects around and could bring down power lines. Wind advisories are issued when wind gusts over 45 miles per hour are expected.
