Binghamton University says it raised a record 101-point-6 million dollars during the fiscal year that ended in June, the first time annual giving topped 100 million. The total was 25 percent above the previous record. Major commitments support athletic scholarships, a new center for artificial-intelligence responsibility and research, faculty fellowships, student programs, and academic research. The university says it also secured 15 million dollars in state matching funds during the year.
