Police have identified the 5 women that were killed on an i81 crash on Tuesday evening. The driver of a Honda Odyssey lost control of their vehicle which landed them against a concrete divider. Upon hitting the concrete divider, their mini van became disabled in the left lane. Relatives that were traveling in another vehicle not far behind, pulled over to check on the occupants of the mini van. They parked their Audi and proceeded to get out of their vehicle and walk by foot across the highway to check on the mini van’s occupants. A tractor-trailer then collided with the Odyssey and struck four of the victims. Three of them suffered fatal injuries. Two of the victims were inside of the Odyssey and also suffered fatal injuries. All 5 victims resided in Broome County. The driver of the tractor-trailer and the driver of the Audi suffered injuries as well. Police said the crash remains under investigation.
