Additional funding has been secured for the development of a special home in our area. The Mercy House of the Southern Tier is being built to provide a comfortable home with all the equipment necessary for individuals who are suffering from terminal illness. The Mercy House of the Southern Tier has secured 55% of the total amount of funding needed to actually build the home. The organization has also received verbal pledges for an additional 11% of the total finances needed. The Mercy House of the Southern Tier is expecting to start construction sometime next week, and complete their facility sometime within the first quarter of 2016.
