The American Heart Association’s Southern Tier Heart Walk isn’t until April, but preparation was underway last night at SUNY Broome. Volunteer team leaders were
learning more about the April 12th event which will be hosted at SUNY Broome for the first time. According to the American Heart Association in the state of New York 30 percent of all deaths are attributed to heart disease. Over the past 25 years, the Southern Tier Heart Walk alone has raised more than $3.2 million. This year’s goal is $250,000.
