School buses are back on the roads across our listening area today. It is the first day of school for most districts in the Southern Tier. Be sure to give yourself a little extra time and patience this morning as bus drivers get used to their new routes, and students get reacquainted to the rules of the road. Motorists must slow for all flashing yellow lights on school buses, and come to a complete stop when buses display flashing red lights. It’s never a good idea to text and drive. Be alert for stopped school buses on busy roads, and rural roads alike. On multi-lane roads, and blind corners. We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe first day back.
