The two men charged in the death of a man and the beating of his pregnant fiancee were dealt additional charges during their arraignment on Friday. 25-year-old Nigel Saunders and 21-year-old Julian Talamantez were arraigned on charges following the incident which took place at 32 Mygatt Street in Binghamton back in early November. Both men are facing two counts each of second-degree murder, burglary, robbery, and assault. Talamantez is also facing charges of first degree murder and first degree attempted murder, along with rape, criminal sexual assault, and arson. The rape and sexual assault charges come as a result of Talamentez’s alleged conduct with the female victim, with the arson charge coming after the house was doused in lighter fluid and set on fire. Saunders had previously lived with Dordell at the residence, and was on probation during the incident following his release from prison in October. The fiancee was able to escape and alert police.
