The City of Binghamton has started its Chenango Street Gateway Project. Construction began yesterday and is expected to last approximately 2 or 3 months. As part of the $600,000 gateway project, sidewalks, sewer lines, and road resurfacing will take place on several portions of Chenango Street between Bevier Street and the Port Dickinson line. Trolly tracks which remain under the current road surface will also be removed to better prevent settling of pavement.
