A councilwoman on the Binghamton Local Development Corporation board may be replaced for the rest of her term. Binghamton Mayor Rich David asked Binghamton City Council President Bill Berg to replace councilwoman Lea Webb. David noted that Webb has only attended three of the last 19 meetings, missing the last 12 consecutively. David is not only concerned with what effects the absenteeism has on the board, but also notes that Webb is not a volunteer. Webb is being paid by taxpayers, while simultaneously not showing up for meetings.
