After Binghamton Police found a man shot to death in a Mather Street apartment, they arrested at least one man they believe to be responsible in the case. 21-year-old Trevis Johnson is being charged with second-degree murder. Police say Johnson has no permanent address, but he is believed to originally hail from Brooklyn. Johnson was arraigned and sent to the Broome County Jail without bail. The arrest comes after police found 27-year-old Sergio Beldo of Binghamton dead at the apartment at 30 Mather Street. He had sustained gunshot wounds to the chest. On Friday morning, police said they were looking for at least three black males, possibly a fourth, who had fled the scene in a car. The investigation into the murder is ongoing.
