Binghamton City Hall was the home to a ceremony awarding some police officers for their exemplary work. Thursday afternoon, Binghamton Police Department members were recognized for a variety of work, including making arrests while putting themselves in harm’s way. Officer Ben Conklin, who has been on the force for two years, received an award for finding a man who had stolen a car, and chasing him down on foot. A civilian award was given out as well. Dave Wroblewski helped catch a robber in June of last year. Thursday’s award ceremony was part of Southern Tier Police Week.
