Binghamton Mayor Rich David has announced that the City has received a $663,000 grant from the state to replace lead service lines, currently in use for drinking water. The grant will be used to identify these lead lines for replacement. The City is responsible for the lines that run from the water main to the ‘curb’. Homeowners are responsible for the pipes that go from the curb to the water meter.
