A Southern Tier resident is considering a move that could take him from business owner to congressman. Binghamton resident Michael Vasquez is forming an exploratory committee to research the prospect of running for the 22nd Congressional District, a seat currently held by Republican Richard Hanna. The 45 year-old Republican and Conservative owns MV Consulting. Vasquez believes many U.S. representatives are out of touch with the average American. While Vasquez’s platform isn’t finalized yet, he believes in fiscal responsibility.
