Binghamton Police got a surprise on Tuesday, when a traffic stop discovered $20,000 in stolen cash and savings bonds. Around 10pm, police stopped a car on Jarvis Street in the city. After discovering drugs on 51-year-old Alan Barnett of Endicott, they asked to search the vehicle. That search turned up the stolen cash and bonds, which were taken from a home in Endwell. The occupants of the car were turned over to the New York State Police for investigation of the burglary.
