As the work continues for the Department of Transportation at Prospect Mountain, rock blasting is scheduled to take place near the interchange today and Thursday. One blast is expected to occur daily between ten o’clock in the morning and two o’clock in the afternoon. Lane closures can be expected now through Friday along Interstate 81 and Route 17, along with various city streets, including Chenango, Mygatt, Prospect, and Front Streets.
