Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi held an event in Binghamton yesterday to launch the Southern Tier portion of his campaign for the 22nd Congressional District. The Democrat was joined by Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and other elected officials. The Utica native plans to challenge Congresswoman Claudia Tenney in next November’s election. He says the Southern Tier faces similar issues as his native Mohawk Valley, such as infrastructure, health care, public education, and jobs. Tenney, a Republican, just took over the 22nd District in January.
