A Bronx man, described as a ‘home invader for hire’, has been sentenced by a Broome County judge to 16 years in state prison. 35-year-old David Torres of the Bronx would travel to the Southern Tier when hired. He is alleged to have taken part in at least three robberies in Binghamton and Vestal in 2014 and 2015. Torres had two prior violent felony convictions.
