Nicholas Chappell was convicted on murder and attempted murder charges in Broome County Court yesterday. The 28-year-old was accused of fatally shooting David Sanborn and wounding Jordan Doolittle in a shooting on Mozart Street August 31. Prosecutors say it happened after Sanborn and Doolittle showed up at Chappell’s apartment to retrieve some possessions. Chappell claimed the shooting was self-defense. He will be sentenced on June 7.
