Commuters in and around Conklin Avenue in Binghamton this week will have noticed the demolition of a prominent building in that area. The former Crowley Distribution Center which sat at the corner of Conklin Avenue and Hall Street was demolished on Tuesday. The demolition comes as part of an effort to make more room for the Broome County Humane Society’s new location in that area. Construction of the Humane Societies new facilities is expected to begin next month.
