Ellis Brothers Furniture has submitted two proposals to the City of Binghamton regarding future development. The first proposal, still awaiting approval, is for the site of the recently burned down building to be leveled out, so a parking lot can go in its place. This parking lot would add additional parking to the other Ellis Brothers Furniture building which was not affected by the fire. The second proposal, which is also awaiting city approval, is in regards to moving the second Ellis Brothers Furniture building to 1 Hawley street in downtown Binghamton.
