The Exchange Street bridge in Binghamton is expected to be revamped early this Fall. Though an exact deadline has not been set, construction crews are gearing up to start work in late August or even early September. The bridge is expected to be resurfaced with pavement, as well as some metalwork replaced underneath. Construction on the bridge was supposed to have started earlier this summer, however, the reviews on the infrastructure took longer than expected. The total cost of the project is estimated at $3 million, with the City of Binghamton paying 5% of that.
