On May 18th, Christopher Chisholm, 23, of Binghamton, entered a guilty plea to Assault in connection with an incident on February 9th in the Town of Dickinson.
Chisholm intentionally caused physical injury to a two year old child left in his care by immersing him in scalding bath water.
Chisholm, who remains remanded to the Broome County Jail, will be sentenced on July 7th to a state prison term of four years and three years post-release supervision.
The case was investigated by members of the New York State Police.
District Attorney Gerald F. Mollen prosecuted the indictment.
