A Johnson City man has been charged with second-degree murder. 43-year-old Christopher Davis allegedly killed his downstairs neighbor, 50-year-old Patricia LaCaprara, in her home at 36 Brown Street. Police responded to the call on Monday afternoon when they found LaCaprara’s body. The autopsy report shows that she died as a result of traumatic head injuries, and her death was ruled a homicide. Police say that Davis’ motive appears to be burglary, although it has not been said if anything was taken from the apartment. Also arrested during the investigation was 20-year-old Zachary Franks of Binghamton. Franks was spotted with Davis in a vehicle after the homicide took place. The investigation into the matter is ongoing and being conducted by Johnson City and Binghamton detectives, with help from the Broome County Drug Task Force.
