Local Police and the Boys and Girls Club on Clinton Street in Binghamton are looking to build trust between youth and law enforcement officers. In an new after school program at the Boys and Girls Club, off-duty Binghamton Police officers will work in four hour shifts, interacting with the kids in a positive manner. The after-school program has a price tag of about $20,000, which is being picked up by the Community Development Block Grant Program.
