The Broome County Sheriffs Office has arrested Jermaine C D’Oliveira, 31, of Binghamton and Maryland.
He was taken into custody this morning at a motel in the Town of Chenango.
D’Oliveira is charged as a fugitive from justice from the State of Maryland, where he was on parole for a felony assault and weapons charges.
A warrant was issued due to a parole violation.
D’Oliveira also was charged with felony Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance for the sale of heroin in Broome County.
D’Oliveira was arraigned in the Town of Chenango Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
Members of the US Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted with the arrest.
