Binghamton fire crews quickly knocked down an apartment fire last night. Shortly before 9, crews responded to a fire at a multifamily home at 88 Liberty St. in Binghamton. Fire officials said they were able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes by climbing through a window. Officials said the fire started on the first floor of the building, and they were able to contain the damage to that part of the building. Everyone in the building at the time of the fire made it out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
