A teenager who raped a nurse at knife-point in the parking lot at UHS Wilson Hospital has been sentenced to ten years in prison. Brandon Corey, who was 16-years-old at the time of the crime in April 2016, was denied youthful offender status. Prosecutors had sought a 30 year prison term. A co-defendant in the case, Jacob Coish, pleaded guilty to robbery and is expected to be sentenced to five to seven years. Corey apologized for his actions in the sentencing hearing. He will be required to register as a sex offender and will be under court supervision for 20 years following completion of his sentence.
