Three Arrested for Conspiring to Transport Heroin and Cocaine

Three people from Johnson City were arrested after conspiring to transport large amounts of heroin and cocaine from New York City to Broome County. Jessica Titus and Maria Champion-Cruz were both arrested as they exited a bus which was inbound from NYC on Sunday night. Richard Madison was arrested yesterday in the city of
Binghamton for the role he played in the conspiracy. On Sunday night, at the bus depot in the City of Binghamton, Broome County Special Task Force investigators were able to intercept about 130 grams of unpackaged, pure heroin and about 52 grams of powder cocaine. It had an approximate street value of $60,000. All three subjects are currently being held at the Broome County Sheriff’s Correctional Facility without bail.
