Two men from Binghamton were arrested for attempted burglary. 37-year-old Jamie Beardsley and 22-year-old Dustin Sessions were arrested after Binghamton Police responded to 33 West State Street for a report of criminal mischief. A responding officer arrived on scene to find a back door to the building had been opened. The officer then entered the building and saw a white male who fled. Several other units were called to the area to search for the suspects. After an investigation, the two men admitted they were there to steal copper, and that they were behind several other copper thefts in the Binghamton area. The two men were each charged with two counts of burglary, and arraigned in City Court.
