Two Weis Markets in Broome County will be closing this summer. The food retailer announced on Wednesday that its locations at 279 Main Street in Binghamton and 560 Harry L. Drive in Johnson City will be shutting their doors. A specific date of closure was not announced by the company but the news comes as a result of the two stores underperforming. A total of 79 full- and part-time workers are employed at the two locations. Eight other Weis Markets will remain open in Broome County.
