The Greater Binghamton Airport was closed after 10am today after receiving a credible bomb threat. County officials say that a woman called the airport with an accurate description of a car parked outside, and the airport was searched. No bomb was found and the all clear was given just before 3pm. Broome County Sheriff David Harder says the found the woman who called in the threat, but no charges will be filed because she was suffering from a mental health issue and off her medications at the time. The vehicle belonged to a relative of the unidentified woman. They are working with her husband to determine what will be done next. The airport remained open while the search was conducted.
