Governor Cuomo has announced the opening of the Agriculture Development Center, which will be operated by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County. The Center will provide educational and training opportunities to farmers in the Southern Tier Region. In addition, a brand-new Taste NY Market located inside the Center will promote the food and beverage products found in the Southern Tier and around the State. The Center will also be used to provide workforce training to ensure a pipeline of skilled agricultural workers. The Center was built with $1.25 million in state grants. The Center is located near the Broome County Agricultural Extension Service site on Upper Front Street in Dickenson.
